STEP 1: First, it is ablsolutely mandatory that all students complete the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Training on-line at the American Red Cross or a reputable training facility before attending classes. STEP 2: Complete the registraton form by clicking this link to be forwarded to the registration page. Fill out the form and in the comments section, indicate you are interested in attending the February 5, 2018 class. Next choose Package Deal "A" or "B" and submit the form. STEP 4: 100 hours of training is required in the state of Illinois by the industry leader Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals (SPCP). Students will be taught 40-56 hours of the basic theory for permanent cosmetics; 16-24 hours hands-on practice on both latex skin pads and live models; and 20-44 hours of homework assignments for a total of 100 hours.
STEP 5: (GET TO KNOW YOUR INSTRUCTOR!) Dr. Gloria B. Moore is a Licensed Esthetician, Micropigmentologist, Skin Needling Technician, Master Makeup Artist, Eyelash Technician and a Certified Health Specialist. She has been in business since 1995 and is extremely passionate about inside wellness and outside beauty. In addition, she has performed hundreds of permanent cosmetics procedures at her business Glo'More Cosmetics and Spa, LLC located in Gurnee, Illinois. In 2010, "Dr. Glo" completed her Basic Permanent Cosmetics Training at a plastic surgeon facility in Wilmette, Illinois and later finished her Master's and Instructor's Doctorate at the American Institute of Intradermal Cosmetics (AIIC) located in Arlington, Texas. The AIIC is where several celebrity makeup artist receive their permanent cosmetics training and have performed procedures on some of the most recognized actors and celebrities in the industry. Glo'More Cosmetics and Spa, LLC is one of the only salon and spas licensed by the Lake County Illinois Health Department to practice these highly requested services. Rest assured, you are in good hands with "Dr. Glo" and her staff.
STEP 6: Upon completion of the basic permanent cosmetics classes, we will offer an apprenticeship program. Properly trained graduates who are confident in their new skills, will be paid to practice microblading eyebrows, ombre' eyebrows, permanent eyebrows, permanent eyeliner, permanent full lip procedure and camouflage hair restoration on live models at a slightly discounted cost to the client.
STEP 7: Once the apprenticeship program is completed, the new technician must contact the Illinois Department of Public Health to file for a license with their local health department.
The cost for the license is approximately $500 and your work location will be examined by health inspectors to make sure it meets the industry standards. The license and fee of $500 minimum will need to be renewed annually.

STEP 9: Glo'More Microblading and Beauty Academy is available to help trained technicians achieve success in their new permanent cosmetics career. Graduates become a part of our business family and will receive special assistance when needed. We are a physical school and students can visit our academy as often as needed. This will allow them to feel confident in their skills before starting their new career. For student and client safety, we only recommend individuals be trained in an enviroment that has been approved by the state. We also recommend students avoid being trained in an unauthorized training facilities. Remember 100 hours of training is required by the state of Illinois.
