Permanent Cosmetics or Micropigmentation

Micropigmentation, Permanent Cosmetics, or Face Tattooing is a revolutionary method of applying natural shades of micro pigment color into the skin.  This state-of-the-art technique is medically proven and specifically designed to be completely safe and effective.

Color will last from 2-5 years depending on client exposure to the sun, chemical facial peels, or constant exposure to iridescent lighting.

Permanent Cosmetics will enhance eyebrows, top & bottom eyeliner, and lip line or full lip color.  We only use pigments from Premier Pigments that are MRI-Safe.  Tattoo dyes are not MRI-Safe and must be covered before receiving an MRI procedure to prevent sparking from radiation.

We were informed by the Lake County Health Department that our Salon/Spa is one of the only beauty facilities to receive certification to practice Permanent Cosmetics/Makeup services in Lake County, IL.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Is the Procedure Painful?

Topical anesthetics are used to minimize discomfort.

Do I have a choice in pigment colors and the placement of pigments?

Of course!  During your initial procedure; color, design and pigment placement will be determined.

What is involved in recovery?

There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly.  You may resume normal activities after the brow procedure.  However, social plans should be canceled after receiving a lip or eyeliner procedure. Complete healing takes approximately 7 days externally and 4-6 weeks internally while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color.
